過去景觀遊憩相關研究多使用照片模擬不同使用人數,來探討人們的擁擠感受或社會承載量;而沈浸式虛擬實境(Immersive Virtual Reality, IVR)技術具有高度的空間擬真性,但其在研究上的測量效度等相關議題卻少有人探討。本研究利用IVR技術進行環境模擬量測人們的環境擁擠感及人數接受程度,並與現地、傳統的照片法、環場照片進行比較。結果確認了IVR在擁擠感的測量效度,同時也發現IVR技術在擁擠感受上較傳統照片法敏感且逼真。本研究將可做為景觀遊憩相關研究之重要參考,以新技術開創全新之研究領域。本研究已為Landscape and Ecological Engineering 期刊所接受。

 

 

Existing landscape and recreation related studies usually used pictures to simulate different numbers of user to explore people’s crowding perception or social carrying capacity. The new technique of immersive virtual reality (Immersive Virtual Reality, IVR) has a high degree of spatial reality, but its measurement validity in research were rarely discussed. This study used IVR technique simulation to measure people’s environmental crowding and acceptance of use-level, and compared them with on-site, traditional photographic method, and panoramic pictures. The results confirmed the validity of IVR in measuring perceived crowding. At the same time, it was also found that IVR technology was more sensitive and realistic than traditional photographic methods in terms of perceived crowding. The current study could become an important reference for related studies, and create new research topics using the new technique. This study has been accepted by the Landscape and Ecological Engineering journal.
